Changes at Hughes Waddell
In the past few weeks the partners at Hughes Waddell have re-evaluated the structure of the practice to ensure that the firm will continue to provide the best possible service to its clients and the partners and staff are able to work in a way which suits their particular strengths.
As a result of this process, the firm has been restructured. Alison Daniels, Nicola Miller and Nick Dodd are continuing as partners in Hughes Waddell. David Brown (who is the sole director of DJB Audit Limited) ceased to be a partner with effect from 1 October 2009. David has become a consultant to the firm and is going to concentrate on his strengths (which are providing accountancy services and business advice) for the clients he introduced to Hughes Waddell when his practice merged with the firm in April 2007. The remaining partners and staff at Hughes Waddell will continue to provide ancillary services, such as payroll preparation, personal and corporation tax return preparation, company secretarial services and taxation advice to David’s clients.
Although Rachel Lewis worked with David before the merger in April 2007, she is now a valued member of the Hughes Waddell team and will continue to deal with personal tax and payroll matters on behalf of all clients.
Alison, Nicola and Nick are very happy to announce that Paul Heighes, who joined the firm as accounts and audit manager in July 2007, has been promoted to Associate with effect from 1 October 2009.
Alison, Nicola, Nick and Paul very much look forward to continuing to work with all their clients and hope that you will be reassured that the deletion of two names (David Brown and DJB Audit Limited) from the list of partners does not signify that there has been any major change in the way that the practice will be conducted. We hope that as far as all clients are concerned the change will be (or even has been) seamless.
